This was my last painting of 2020. I saw so many social media comments of people saying they were glad to see 2020 end. So sad. 2020 was a year of much self-discovery and toward the end of the year I was very busy painting - almost a painting a day for 2 months. I created a painting each day from Thanksgiving to the end of the year! So this painting was significant because I was doing a self-talk video as I was walking and as I came to a foot bridge on the trail, I looked down and saw some deer just watching me. I saw the grass laying like Vincent would see it. One thing I realized about 2020 - I painted more paintings than I ever did, sold more than I ever have, and even managed to give away more that I ever did. And I became a better painter. It was truly a great year for me as an artist.
