Winter in Texas can take many forms from day to day.. I happened to catch this view overlooking the Sabinal Valley in Utopia, Texas on a 75 degree day in the middle of winter in 2014. There was a slight southerly wind, and a few of us were hanging out on a friend's deck smoking cigars and drinking wine. It was a Saurday afternoon that had been preceded by some below-freezing days the previous week. It was an afternoon that had the promise of Spring all over it.
