Welcome to Pauly Tamez Fine Art

My friend, Susanne told me that the only perfect artist is God, and all we can create is an imperfect expression of what he made perfect.
All I can do, think, write, or paint is filtered through my imperfection, and expressed here, as best as I can. My best work is at best, imperfect, and that's OK.

Be Bold. It's just canvas, just paint. If it doesn't work for you, paint over it and start again. Don't be afraid that you are wasting supplies. Every failure teaches something, if only what not to do. (Tiko Kerr)

On learning to paint: "Paint, just paint, then paint again, then paint some more." Bill Zaner

Painting is wonderful. It's an escape, a trip to another reality. I don't have to think about the economy, politics, or people's petty stuff. I can just do something beautiful, enjoy the outdoors, and be happy. - Pauly

"The thing about art is that life is in no danger of being meaningless." - Robert Genn

I have a hard time being critical of any artist's work. Because art comes from the heart, and who am I to judge someone's heart? - Pauly
